A beginner’s guide to video brochures

You have questions, we have answers

New to video cards? No problem, we’re here to help every step of the way. Start here with these common questions, then feel free to contact us for more information or guidance for planning your project.

01.

How much can a video card hold?

It really depends on the LCD screen size and the quality of the video. However, a general rule of thumb is that 128MB is suitable for 1:00-2:30 minutes of video and 256MB is suitable for 3:00-5:00 minutes. If you require more, we can increase the memory to give you hours of video play time.

02.

Can I change the videos?

Yes, you can change the video(s) on the card simply by plugging the card into a computer with a mini USB cable, delete the exiting video(s), then copy and paste a new video file just like you would onto a USB thumb drive.

03.

What happens if the battery runs out of power?

The battery can be recharged simply by plugging the card into a computer or cell phone charger with a mini USB cable. The battery will recharge in 45 mins.

04.

How long will the battery last?

Since all the different LCD sizes require different amounts of power, we size an appropriate battery to give you approximately 60-90 minutes of continuous play time regardless of which LCD you choose. This means if you have a 2 minute video you will be able to watch it from start to finish 30-45 times before the battery completely depletes.

05.

How long will it take to produce my order?

Standard orders for quantities of 50-500 units take approximately 3 weeks to complete after creative and payment have been received.

06.

Is there a minimum I need to order?

Yes, our minimum production run is 50 units.

07.

How much does a card cost?

Since there are many options you can select to build your card, it is best to contact us for a quote by filling out our online quote request, or by giving us a call. However, there is a base cost that is primarily determined by 3 main factors: LCD screen size, quantity and physical size of the print package. Pricing follows simple economies of scale; as quantities increase (50/100/250/500/1000/+5000) the cost per unit decreases. For ballpark costs, check out our pricing page.

08.

What is the order process?

It all starts when you connect with us to review all the options, or when you submit a quote request if you already know what you need. We’ll confirm the card size, layout and LCD screen size then send you the proper template along with our design guidelines. Once you complete the creative, we’ll look everything over and make recommendations if needed. Or you can hire our team to come up with the perfect look for your video brochure. Once approved, we’re off to print. Within 2 weeks we’ll share some photos of the first assembled card, finish the entire order and ship out.
